Coffeyville, Kan. - Sizzling shooting allowed the #6 NJCAA ranked Coffeyville Community College Red Raven Basketball team to defeat the Red Devils of Allen County 81-61. The win improves the Raven's overall record to 17-1 including a 15-1 Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference (KJCCC) record. The 15-1 conference mark currently has the Red Ravens in first place in the KJCCC East division.
Simply said, the Ravens shot lights out in this one. For the game, Coffeyville shot 32/53 for a sizzling 60% from the field. On the other side, Allen County shot 21/69 or 30%. That was your game.
The Ravens were able to build an early first-half lead and led at halftime 43-27. The second half saw more of the same in the Ravens posting the 81-61 victory.
Top performers for the Ravens included sophomore Tylor Perry with 15 points, freshman Love Bettis with 14 points, sophomore Bostyn Holt with 11 points, and sophomore Larry White with 10 points.
The Ravens will return to action with a road game at Barton County Community College on Wednesday, March 24th. Tipoff in Great Bend Kansas is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
