Coffeyville, Kan. - The Coffeyville Community College Red Raven Women's Soccer Team held off a barrage from the Broncbusters of Garden City to earn the 1-0 victory. Coffeyville improves its overall record to 2-7-1.
Through a steady wind that affected the majority of the match, Coffeyville and Garden City played to a 0-0 halftime score. The Ravens struck at the 65th minute of the second half as sophomore Celeste Lira directed a ball into the net with an assist from sophomore Rebeca Melo. Coffeyville held off an intense attack from the Broncbusters the remainder of the match to earn the 1-0 victory.
