Sophomore Louise Atkinson found space and picked up the ball in the middle of the field. Her first shot hit the post, but Atkinson showed great determination by getting on the end of her own rebound and slotting the ball into the back of the net. After their goal, Coffeyville continued to put pressure on the Johnson County backline for the next 15 minutes.
