Coffeyville, Kan. - The Coffeyville Community College Women's Basketball team was able to earn their third consecutive victory, with a road win over the Pratt Community College Beavers, 74-35.
The Red Raven defense was sharp all afternoon, holding Pratt under ten team points in each of the first three quarters. The CCC offense dished out 19 team assists for the second straight game, and all 13 players who made an appearance for the team scored in the victory.
Freshman Esme Smith led the team in scoring, with 12 points and seven rebounds in 24 minutes played. Sophomore Isabella Pehrson had 11 points and five rebounds, and sophomore Aubrey Hishaw finished with 10 points and five rebounds.
Coffeyville is 13-3 on the season with the win, and 7-3 in conference play, two games back of both Butler and Dodge City. The Lady Ravens sit in a four-way tie for third place with Hutchinson, Seward County, and Garden City, however hold the tiebreaker currently on both the Blue Dragons and the Saints.
CCC is back at Nellis Hall this week, and will host the Fort Hays Tech NW Tigers on Thursday evening.
