Red Raven Softball Opens KJCCC Season with a Split With Cloud County
Concordia, Kan. - The Coffeyville Community College Red Raven Softball Team opened up its 2026 KJCCC Division II Season with a split of a road doubleheader against the Cloud County Thunderbirds. The Red Ravens lost the opening game 10-9 and won the second game 8-6. With the split, Coffeyville's overall record moves to 9-11, including a 1-1 record in KJCCC play.

Heartbreakingly, Coffeyville, with a 9-3 lead in the seventh, gave up 7 runs to Cloud to end with a 10-9 loss.
The Coffeyville offense was led by sophomore Raya Eilert, who went 3-3 at the plate with 3 RBIs, and freshman Emma Lara, who went 3-4 with 2 RBIs.

Trailing 4-2 in the top of the sixth inning, the Red Ravens scored 4 in the sixth to take an 8-4 lead and hold on for the 8-6 victory for their first KJCCC East victory of the year.
Red Raven Gabrielle Simons went 1-4 from the plate, driving in 3 to help Coffeyville, while freshman righty Kaydence Pawnee went the full 7 innings on the mound allowing 5 earned with 5 strikeouts.
Coffeyville will return to action on Saturday, March 28th, with a home KJCCC East matchup against the Panthers of Neosho. Game times at Byers Field are set for 1:00 and 3:00 p.m.
