Bio
Tabarie Henry will begin his first season here at Coffeyville as Assistant Cross County/Track and Field Coach. Henry is a two‑time Olympian and nationally decorated sprints and hurdles coach known for elevating athletes to championship‑level performance across NJCAA and NCAA Division I programs. A former 3-time World Finalist, a world‑finalist in the 400 meters, and a 2-time Olympic Semi Finalist. He has also coached a 200m Olympic Finalist. Coach Henry brings Olympic‑caliber technical expertise, biomechanics‑driven training, and a strong athlete‑centered philosophy to every team.
Henry has coached at Texas A&M, Hawkeye CC, UNLV, New Mexico Junior College, and the University of Alabama, producing national champions, all‑Americans, and multiple record‑setting sprint groups. His coaching excellence has earned him two National Assistant Coach of the Year awards, as well as the 2022 Women’s and 2024 Men’s Assistant Coach of the Year honors from the Virgin Islands Track & Field Federation. In 2024, the federation named its National Championships after him—an uncommon recognition of both his athletic legacy and coaching impact.
Henry is widely respected for his detail‑oriented instruction, championship‑minded leadership, and ability to rapidly develop sprinters and hurdlers into elite competitors.
