Bio
Associate Head Coach coach Morrie Turner joined the Red Raven track/cross country programs in 2020.
Coach Tuner holds USATF level one certification and is a USTFCCCA specialist in Jumping Events, Sprints, Hurdles, and Relays.
Coach Turner has served as an assistant coach at Jenks High School (Tulsa OK) and at Oral Roberts University. Coach Turner was instrumental in starting the Track program at Rogers State University (Claremore OK) where he served as the assistant head coach for the first 5 years (2014-2019) of the program's existence. While the head coach at Rogers State, Coach Turner coached 113 All-Great American Conference athlete honors as well as 7 NCAA outdoor All-Americans and 2 NCAA Indoor All-Americans.
As an athlete, Coach Turner was a 3x NJCAA Coaches Association All-American and a 2x NJCAA Academic All-American while at Hinds Community College. Coach Turner went on to compete at Mississippi State University and Oral Robert University. While at Oral Roberts, Coach Turner earned the 2012-13 Southland Conference Newcomer of the Year Award as well as 2012-13 NCAA Second Team All-American.
