Coach Braeden Proctor joined the Red Raven staff in August of 2023 after spending 4 seasons at Sunrise Christian Academy, working for 2 time Naismith High School National Coach of the Year Luke Barnwell. While at Sunrise Christian, Coach Proctor assisted with all aspects of the program; from on-court player development, scouting upcoming opponents, and recruiting – helping the Buffaloes reach their best finish in school history during the 2020-2021 season, a GEICO National Championship appearance. The following season, Sunrise Christian went on to win the National Interscholastic Basketball Conference: A newly founded conference formed of Nationally recognized Prep School programs all across the country They finished the regular season ranked as the number one team in the country and were the #1 seed in the GEICO National Tournament. During his 4 seasons at Sunrise Christian, they qualified for the GEICO National tournament all 4 years. During his time at Sunrise Christian, Coach Proctor helped coach and develop 6 McDonald's All-Americans as well as 7 NBA draft picks such as 2024 1st round, 11th pick to the Chicago Bulls Matas Buzelis, 2024 1st round, 26th pick to the Oklahoma City Thunder Dillon Jones, 2023 1st round, 13 pick to the Toronto Raptors Gradey Dick, 2022 1st round, 7th pick to the Portland Trail Blazers Shaedon Sharpe and many others, including over 30 additional players that have played or are currently playing at the Division One level.

Before Sunrise Christian, Coach Proctor was a Prep Scout in his home state of Michigan. There, he covered high school and AAU basketball and hosted several high school camps between 2015 and 2019. He also covered players in surrounding states like Illinois, Ohio, and Wisconsin. 

Coach Proctor holds a bachelor’s degree in Communications from Central Michigan University. He played two years of college basketball at Mid Michigan College in Mount Pleasant Michigan from 2013-2015 for Kaleb House.
