Coffeyville, Kan. - The Coffeyville Community College men's basketball team came up just short in a home game with the Fort Hays Tech Northwest Tigers, falling 77-75 at Nellis Hall.
The action was back and forth all night, with a total of 17 lead changes and eight ties. CCC led 16-7 early in the first half, before the Tigers grabbed a 37-36 lead at the half.
Crucial made shots and offensive rebounds proved to be the difference, as Coffeyville was unable to climb all the way back, having a half court heave at the buzzer blocked.
Sophomore Daniel Ntambwe had 17 points to lead the Ravens, while freshman Jack Sorrell had 14 points off the bench, and freshman Tyson Tucker finished with 11 points and seven assists without a turnover.
The Red Ravens drop to 12-5 on the season, and 6-5 in league play, sitting in a tie for fifth place with Garden City and Cowley. Coffeyville hosts the Garden City Broncbusters tomorrow afternoon.
