Coffeyville, Kan. - In his Coffeyville debut, sophomore transfer Cris Carroll scored 29 as the Red Ravens defeated the Greyhounds of Fort Scott 91-61 to open the 2023-24 season.
Coffeyville jumped out quickly in the opening game of the season leading Fort Scott 46-25 at halftime. The Red Ravens had eleven players gain playing time as Coffeyville earned the 91-61 victory.
Carroll, a sophomore transfer from Hutchinson Community College, looked excellent in his Coffeyville debut scoring 29 points on 8/15 shooting including 5/8 from behind the arc and 8/8 from the charity stripe. Coffeyville had three other players in double figures on the night including freshman guard Jahni Summers with 13 points, freshman guard CJ Smith with 12 points, and sophomore Izek Jackson who scored 10 points and grabbed a game-high 16 rebounds.
Coffeyville will return to action this Friday, November 3rd as they will welcome in the Trojans of Seminole State College for a home matchup in Nellis Gymnasium. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
