Coffeyville, Kan. - The #12 NJCAA ranked Coffeyville Community College Men's Basketball Team took a little extra time but defeated the Greyhounds of Fort Scott 83-77 in overtime. With the victory, Coffeyville improved its early season record to 4-0.
The Red Ravens led the Greyhounds 30-26 at halftime but Fort Scott was able to tie up the score 68-68 at the end of regulation to send it into overtime. In the overtime period, Coffeyville went on a 10-0 run to pull the game out and earn the 83-77 victory.
Red Raven sophomore Jordan Wildy managed a 16-point 10-rebound double-double in the game while freshman guard Landon Glasper contributed 14 points. Freshman Hayden Brittingham had 13 points and sophomore Nathan Johnson rounded out Coffeyville's double-figure scorers with 11.
Coffeyville will be in action this weekend as they will host the Community State Bank Classic in Nellis Hall on Friday and Saturday (November 11-12). The Red Ravens are slated to play Navarro College on Friday, November 11th at 7:30 pm and then turn around and play Murray State College on Saturday, November 12th at 4:00 pm.
