Bio

Coach Adams became the Linebackers Coach at Coffeyville Community College in the spring of 2026, where his journey has come full circle. A former standout linebacker for the Red Ravens during the 2021 and 2022 seasons, he helped lead the program to a Heart of Texas Bowl appearance and a run in the NJCAA National Playoffs. His experience competing at a high level at the junior college level shaped both his playing career and his passion for developing the next generation of athletes.

After Coffeyville, Coach Adams continued his playing career at Southwestern Oklahoma State University. While completing his degree, he also interned in the university’s weight room, gaining hands-on experience in strength and conditioning and athlete development. He graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science, combining academic excellence with practical performance training knowledge.

Following graduation, he returned to his hometown of Topeka, Kansas, where he began his coaching career at Shawnee Heights High School. There, he helped mentor and develop young athletes both on and off the field, emphasizing discipline, accountability, and character.

Now back at Coffeyville, Coach Adams brings a unique perspective as both a former player and current coach. His approach blends firsthand playing experience, strength and conditioning knowledge, and a deep understanding of what it takes to succeed at the junior college level and beyond. He is passionate about developing linebackers who are not only tough and instinctive on the field, but disciplined leaders off it.
