Bio
Coach Jake Taylor enters his first year on the Red Raven Football staff in the Fall of 2025. A recent graduate of Emporia State University, where he earned his Bachelor of Science, Jake has cultivated a unique perspective on the game from both sides of the whistle — as a student-athlete and as a coach.
His coaching journey began after playing Defensive Back on the Emporia State football team, where he spent four years immersed in the culture, discipline, and demands of college football. During this time, Jake gained first-hand experience in practice execution, film study, and adapting to various coaching styles. That foundation prepared him to transition into coaching, where he took on the role of Defensive Back Coach Intern at his alma mater.
Coach Taylor is continuing his coaching journey at Coffeyville Community College, where he serves as the Cornerbacks Coach. Coach Taylor brings technical knowledge and a player-first mentality to a program focused on development and excellence.
