Raven Defensive Lineman Commits to SEC School
Coffeyville, Kan. - A starter on the Coffeyville Community College football team has announced his commitment to a program in the SEC.
Defensive lineman Antonio Sandel-Bascomb has made a verbal commitment to the Arkansas Razorbacks, following two seasons playing at the JUCO level, and one season in Coffeyville.
Sandel-Bascomb transferred to the Red Ravens following a season at Iowa Western, where he made nine tackles in six games played for the Reivers. His production spiked during his sophomore year in Coffeyville, finishing with 29 tackles and 2.5 sacks in eight games played for the Raven defense. He says there were initial challenges, but the team came together in 2025.
The redshirt-sophomore was briefly committed to the University of Memphis, but reopened his recruitment following Coach Ryan Silverfield's departure for the Arkansas job. He says he learned plenty of lessons during his time in JUCO.
Sandel-Bascomb also had offers from South Alabama and Coastal Carolina. His play and leadership helped the Red Raven defense to the No. 5 ranked defense in the nation, and the No. 7 overall ranked team.
