Red Raven Defensive Lineman Commits to D1 Program

Coffeyville, Kan. - One of the key pieces of the Coffeyville Community College Red Raven football team is moving to the four-year level, signing with a Division 1 FCS program last month.

Defensive lineman Jaheim Johnson has signed with the Lions of North Alabama to continue his football career, following the past two seasons with the Red Ravens. He says the North Alabama's program values stood out to him when making a decision.

The Lions experienced some struggles on the field in 2025, losing numerous games by one-score, including a pair of games in overtime. Johnson says the players in the program are already determined to turn that around next season.

Johnson appeared in six games this season for the Red Ravens, making nine total tackles including a tackle for loss. He says he's thankful for the lessons he has learned in his two seasons of JUCO football.
