Red Raven Football Letterman's Hall of Fame Inducts Three New Members
Coffeyville, Kan. - Three new members were inducted into the Red Raven Football Letterman's Hall of Fame this past weekend. During their annual banquet, Devin Thomas, James Carpenter, and the entire 1990 Red Raven Offensive Line were all inducted into the Letterman's Hall of Fame.
First up on the evening was the entire 1990 Red Raven Offensive Line.
This formidable O-line was instrumental in guiding Coffeyville to an undefeated 8-0 record during the 1990 regular season. During the KJCCC playoffs, the team continued its winning streak, defeating Fort Scott 34-23 and Butler 27-21 to reach a perfect 10-0. The momentum carried into the national championship game held at Union Stadium in Tulsa, where Coffeyville triumphed over Montgomery, Maryland, with a 58-20 victory. During the Championship game, the Raven O-Line helped Coffeyville rush for 286 yards, a Mid-America Bowl record. The win secured the 1990 NJCAA National Championship and concluded their season with an undefeated 11-0 record. The 1990 Red Raven offensive line will go down as one of the best to ever come through the historic Red Raven program.

Jim Maxwell, Bud Young, Murray Zogg, Kevin Saindon
Next, we have Devin "Showtime" Thomas.
Thomas was a wide receiver on the Red Ravens' 2005 team, where he earned All-KJCCC Wide Receiver honors under Red Raven Head Coach Jeff Leiker. After Coffeyville, Thomas transferred to Michigan State University, where he made a significant impact. In his junior year, Thomas set a school record for Michigan State with 79 catches for 1,260 yards and eight touchdowns. Thomas was selected by the Washington Redskins in the second round of the 2008 NFL Draft, 34th overall. Highlights of Thomas's NFL career include the 2009 NFL season, where Thomas posted a career-high 323 receiving yards and three touchdowns, highlighted by a game against the New Orleans Saints, where he surpassed 100 yards receiving and scored twice, as well as the 2010 season that had Thomas winning Super Bowl 44 while playing with the New York Giants.
And lastly, we have James Carpenter.
Carpenter was the starting left tackle for the Red Ravens in 2007 & 2008, earning All-Conference honors in both years and being named as an NJCAA All-American first team member in 2008. After Coffeyville, Carpenter played at the University of Alabama under head coach Nick Saban. At Alabama, he faced the demanding task of replacing All-American left tackle Andre Smith. Demonstrating resilience, Carpenter started every game at left tackle in 2009 and 2010, contributing to Alabama's undefeated season and national championship victory in 2009. Carpenter was selected 25th overall in the first round of the 2011 NFL Draft by the Seattle Seahawks. Carpenter was a member of the Seahawks team that won Super Bowl 48. From the Seahawks, Carpenter went to the New York Jets, where he started all games in the 2016 & 2017 seasons. All in all, Carpenter's NFL career included stops with the Seahawks, Jets, Falcons, Ravens, & Saints.
