Raven Baseball Completes Series Sweep of Labette County
Coffeyville, Kan. - The Coffeyville Community College baseball team had one of their strongest offensive weeks of the season, resulting in a four-game sweep of the Labette County Cardinals.

CCC claimed the opener behind a dominant start from freshman Nicholas Westendorp. The freshman went the full seven innings, allowing just three hits and no runs, with 11 strikeouts. Carson Beck homered for the Ravens, while Brady Shackelford drove in two with two hits as well.

The Raven offense erupted in Game 2, scoring 28 runs with 24 total hits. Shortstop Kyle Provence went 5-5 at the plate, while seven different Ravens had multiple hits in the game. CCC scored seven in the 2nd inning, eight in the 3rd, six in the 4th, and seven in the 5th.

Raven success traveled to Parsons for Game 3, with the team posting double digit runs once again. Kamden Neal had three scoreless innings in relief with six strikeouts, while Shawn Bareno and Caden Riojas each hit home runs at the plate.

Coffeyville posted double digit runs for the third consecutive game, finishing with 16 in the series finale against the Cardinals. Daxtyn Clark had a four hit game for the Ravens, while Caden Klumpp added three doubles in the win.
The Red Ravens are 23-27 on the season, and 12-16 in league play. The team wraps up the regular season with a series against Neosho County, with two games in Chanute on Wednesday and two games at home on Friday.
