Red Ravens Split 4-Game Home/Away Series vs the #17 Blue Dragons
The Coffeyville Community College Red Raven Baseball Team split their Home/Away 4-Game series against #17 Hutchinson Blue Dragons. As the home team on Thursday, Coffeyville won the first two games in the series 4-3 and 6-5, while in Hutchinson on Saturday, the Ravens lost 14-4 and 10-3. With the split, Coffeyville's overall record moves to 7-8 on the season.

Game #1 saw the Ravens produce a walk-off victory in extra innings. As the scheduled 7-inning game moved into extra innings, the Ravens scored the winning run in the bottom of the eighth inning to pull out the 1-run victory. The Ravens were led offensively by sophomore Shawn Bareno, who went 2 for 4 with an RBI and a run scored, and sophomore Ethan Foley, who went 2 for 3 with an RBI and a run scored. Freshman righty Nicholas Westendorp picked up the victory (2-1), going 3 innings, allowing 1 unearned with 3 k's and no walks.

The second game of the home doubleheader saw Coffeyville come from behind, scoring 5 runs in the 6th inning to pull out the 6-5 victory. Red Raven red-shirt freshman Caden Riojas went 1-2 from the plate with 2 RBI's while sophomore righty Alex Barber pitched 3-innings in relief for the victory, allowing no runs on 2 hits and 2 strikeouts.

Moving to Hutchinson, Kansas, the Red Ravens gave up 9 runs in the 6th inning in falling to the Blue Dragons 14-4. Raven sophomore Colton Ruedy went 2-3 from the plate with a run and 2 RBIs, while freshman Carson Beck also went 2 for 3 with an RBI.

A 5-run 7th inning pushed the Blue Dragons over the Ravens 10-3. Raven sophomore Shawn Bareno went 3 for 4 in the game to lead Coffeyville offensively.
