Volleyball places another Player of the Week

The Red Ravens volleyball team adds anoth accolade to their team.  Freshman outside hitter, Adianez Reyes Rivera, earned Week 3 Player of the Week for the Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference.

Rivera led the Red Ravens to a 5-0 week averaging 4.2 kills per set.  Her .595 hitting percentage and double-double verseus #8 Fort Scott made her an easy decision for the award.

"[Adianez] is leading our team in kills and aces," head coach Delice Downing said.  "She is a go getter, heavy hitter, and always wants the ball."

That tenacity is what led Rivera to her double-double against Fort Scott.  She posted 17 kills, 20 digs, and five aces during the contest.

"Her teammates love playing with her.  I love her intensity and she will continue to grow more and more throughout her collegiate career," said Downing.

As if being named the KJCCC Player of the Week wasn't enough, Rivera also added a MVP award in the Coffeyville Community College Ravens Invitational held September 8th and 9th.
