The Coffeyville women's soccer team played away on Sunday against KCK. The Ravens got on the score sheet early into the game. A penalty kick was awarded to Coffeyville in the 15th minute. Gabrielle Rodriquez took responsibility for the kick and slotted the ball into the back of the net to make it 1-0. Just a few minutes later, Coffeyville would find themselves on the attack once again. Isabelle Attenborough would send a floating ball into the box which would connect with the head of Christine Kitaru to finish the game 2-0.
The win over KCK guarenteed the Coffeyville Red Ravens finished 3rd overall in Conference play in the East Division. This is the 3rd season in a row that the the Red Ravens have finished overall 3rd.
The Ravens will start their postseason run Thursday as they travel to Concordia, KS to play Cloud County in the first round of playoffs.
