Red Ravens Pounce on Panthers

Following a heart attack game (Lucy Burke nailing a buzzer beating three) with a win over #8 Seward, the Red Ravens hosted rival Neosho Panthers.

From the beginning, it was not a good shooting performance by the Red Ravens.  For the half, the Red Ravens were shooting 1 for 8 from behind the arch and were lead in scoring by sophomore point guard MaKayla Tanksley with 9 points.  The Red Ravens also received a spark from freshman Adelina Carr as she had the teams first six points.

The women were not getting any offensive production from sophomore Burke or freshman Tatiana McCree and were fighting to stay ahead.  At halftime, the women led by three; 26-23.

The second half proved to be a different story for the Red Ravens.  Burke would go 3 for 5 on her three point attempts while McCree added nine points.  The women also received big help from their bench as Kaylee Brown produced eight points to go with McCree's second half bench production.

Continuiing her excellent ball control, Tanksley finished the game with four assists and 11 points while only committing two turnovers.

The Red Ravens look to continue their win streak as they travel to Colby on Sunday in another conference match.
